You might be thinking, okay this sounds amazing but what is an adaptogen and are they legit?! Well, adaptogens are plant substances (often herbs) that have been found to help our bodies maintain balance and manage stress by helping us adapt to external stressors. By strengthening our internal systems, adaptogens can promote vitality, stabilize mood and improve performance and focus.  Adaptogens are meant to help our bodies build resilience to stress and mitigate its further effects on the body. When we face a stressor, our bodies go through what’s called general adaption syndrome (GAS), a three-stage response: alarm, resistance, and exhaustion. What adaptogens do is help us stay in the resistance phase longer via a stimulating effect that holds off the exhaustion.  Now we can soldier on instead of crashing during a stressful moment or event. When we can adapt to stress, we perform better and feel better despite what’s stressing us out. And with that, we can also improve our health and well-being. This is the Halo effect, Seize the day – then take it higher. #cbd #microdosing #rebelle #THC

  • How to Choose the Right Vape Cart for You

Walking into a dispensary these days, the wall of vape carts can feel like a candy shop — exciting, but also a little overwhelming. Do you go for a fruity weed cart? A heavy-hitting indica? Something in between? The good news is, finding the right vape cart doesn’t have to be complicated. At the end of the day, it’s about figuring out what works for your lifestyle, your taste, and your comfort level. Here are a few simple things to keep in mind next time you’re picking one out. First, think about what kind of experience you want . Vape carts usually come in sativa, indica, or hybrid options. If you’re looking for an uplifting, daytime vibe, a sativa cart is often the way to go. If you want something more relaxing, maybe to help you unwind at night, an indica cart might be your match. And if you want a little balance, hybrids are the sweet spot. Next up: potency . Weed carts can range from mellow to seriously strong. If you’re newer to vaping, starting on the lighter side can help you ease in without going overboard. More seasoned consumers might look for higher THC percentages, but remember — higher numbers aren’t everything. Flavor and feel matter just as much. Speaking of flavor, don’t overlook terpenes . They’re what give each vape cart its unique taste and vibe. Love citrusy, fruity notes? There’s a cart for that. More into earthy, piney flavors? You’ve got options too. Sometimes the taste alone can make one cart your go-to over another. And of course, always shop smart . The most important part of choosing a weed cart is making sure you’re buying from a licensed dispensary. That way, you know it’s been tested and is safe to use. Unregulated carts may look tempting, but they can be risky. So, whether you’re chasing flavor, relaxation, or just a smooth, discreet way to enjoy your weed, the right vape cart is out there. Start with what you want to feel, trust your taste buds, and don’t be afraid to try a few until you find your favorite.

  • THC & CBD: The OG Best Buds

When trying to describe the unique benefits of our friends THC and CBD many people often fall into the trap of comparing one against the other, as if there were some sort of competition! But these guys are actually a match made in heaven. They’re great apart, but they are even better together. These incredible cannabinoids come together and offer comprehensive benefits that neither could accomplish alone. What we like to call the entourage effect embraces the messy reality that it is impossible to truly isolate a set of organic variables in a living system. That’s because living systems rely on the principles of interdependence, in which everything operates in relation to everything else. This makes pointing to a single chemical in cannabis as the sole trigger for a particular human response quite a difficult task. The way cannabis can be used has changed significantly in recent years, simply rolling a doob and sparking it up has morphed into finding the ideal relief through an incredible arrangement of different tinctures, oils, edibles, lotions, flower of course, and more. For those new to the scene this can be extremely overwhelming, especially if you are looking at having both CBD and THC into your routine, which ratio is best? We wanted to create an easy and accessible source for you to better understand how these ratios work and how the body reacts to different quantities of these cannabinoids to help you find your ideal relief. Research is still being done; however, cannabinoid’s therapeutic and medical properties are still evident. THC and cannabidiol CBD differ in the way their molecules act on receptors located throughout the entire body.  In the brain, THC binds with the CB1 receptor and CBD binds with the CB2 receptor while also blocking CB1 receptors from binding with THC. This means CBD can potentially decrease some of THC’s effects, like anxiety, as well as psychoactivity. Whenever you see a marijuana product that has a ratio on it, it is indicating the amount of milligrams of CBD to THC. For example, a product labeled as a 1:1 means for every milligram of CBD in the product, there will be one milligram of THC as well. THC acts as an anti-nausea, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic. It also provides you with a psychoactive “high” feeling. This means a higher ratio of CBD to THC means less of a “high” and vice versa. CBD also shares the above THC traits. However, at the same time, it acts as an anti-anxiety and anti-seizure. However, CBD doesn’t produce a “high” sensation like THC. Because of this reason, a lot of people prefer cannabis having a higher ratio of CBD to THC, because consuming a low THC product comes with less adverse side effects. It’s important to remember through your journey with cannabis that every human body is unique, therefore every person’s experience with THC or CBD products differs too. What your friend recommends might have worked for them and offered them relief, but there might be a product or formulation that works better for you. Start small and pay close attention to your body through the process. A good rule of thumb: the higher the CBD, the less of a high you’ll get from the THC . When you’re deciding which ratio is right for you, it will take some experimenting. Once again, start small and listen to your body. Everyone’s personal journey with cannabis is uniquely theirs and at Rebelle we seek to guide you through the process. Remember we are always here to help with any questions or guidance you may need. #cbd #THC

  • Cannabis Accessories that You Can’t Live Without

Anyone who consumes cannabis likely already has the short-list of must-have things for enjoyment. You need something to store your cannabis, in whatever form you prefer. Stash boxes can be as fancy as a carved wooden box or as simple as a used Altoids container. You’ll also want to have a rolling tray if you smoke cannabis. But again, that can be an old magazine that happens to be on the table. Other cannabis accessories you can’t live without might be a little less obvious, making them excellent gifts for yourself or for those who enjoy cannabis. Paper Pre-Rolled Cones Once you’ve tried these smoking shortcuts, you may never go back to rolling your own. Pre-rolled cones produce a perfect-looking and -smoking cannabis cigarette every time. Paper cones have replaced books of papers for many connoisseurs, and they’re vital for those with joint or hand pain. Not only do they offer a nice shape, but pre-rolled cones also ensure you don’t waste any buds that may otherwise fall out the bottom of a self-rolled smoke. It includes a filter with each cone, presenting a healthier smoking option and improved airflow. Dugout and Chillum If you plan to go anywhere with cannabis in the smokable form, you cannot live without a dugout and chillum. These two-in-one accessories are the dugout, which is where you store pre-ground cannabis bud, and the chillum. Chillums are also called one-hitter pipes. Often, they are sold as a set so the chillum can be stored inside the dugout, which fits easily in a pocket or bag. Although you can certainly enjoy cannabis with this set-up at home, many people choose these classy and discreet options for travel. They come in many different designs, but wooden ones are popular. Vape Pen If you prefer to vaporize rather than smoke, investing in a rechargeable and refillable vape pen is a necessity. There are many different designs, so look for one that vapes both liquid and oil. These accessories come with a battery that usually allows for different temperature settings depending on the cannabis product. You’ll be able to use the battery charger overnight to keep it ready to go when you are. Grinder Some strains of cannabis are so sticky and moist that it can be a challenge to break up tight buds for even smoking. Dry and stem-filled cannabis can also be tricky to smoke evenly. The answer is investing in a grinder. You can pick up a cheap one, or you can invest in a grinder that is easy to use and clean. The best ones are electric and automatic, adjusting pressure, speed, and direction depending on the cannabis you wish to enjoy. Joint Locker If you are interested in traveling with a joint, you know how important it is to have something that can protect it from getting crushed. A joint locker is the answer. This must-have product is designed to hold a regular Bic lighter and a 0.5-gram joint for lighting up whenever you wish. Whether you’re purchasing a gift for a loved one or treating yourself, these cannabis accessories will make your consumption more enjoyable and easy.

  • Entourage Theory: Secret to Wellness

Open your container of bud and take one out, look closely. See those sticky shiny dots of resin? Inside there are hundreds of therapeutic compounds that contribute to the effects and benefits of cannabis. Our bodies take in hundreds of botanical compounds when we smoke or vape, each one brings unique effects and benefits, and their behavior may change in the presence of other compounds.  This is called “ the entourage effect ”, the theory that the various cannabis compounds work together to create unique wellness effects . It’s very much like how your mood may change depending on your social environment. How do you behave at a party with strangers versus a party with your closest friends? How about when you’re alone? Your mood and the personality you project shift depending on who’s in the room. So, let’s get to know two types of compounds at this party we are going to. First, cannabinoids. You are likely acquainted with the plant’s two most famous cannabinoids THC and CBD, however there are many other cannabinoids and compounds that the plant produces that seem to play a supporting role in the overall effects of a particular strain. Cannabinoids are a variety of chemical compounds in cannabis that act on receptors in the body’s endocannabinoid system to produce different effects. They also work synergistically with one another along with other chemical compounds to enhance the overall experience.  Alright, this party is getting pretty good, but it’s going to get better with terpenes here to round out our experience. Terpenes, or terps, are chemical compounds that occur naturally in plants. These aromatic compounds help plants attract bees and other pollinators while fending off pests and predators. There are tens of thousands of them throughout nature and over 150 identified terpenes in cannabis. Each individual strain has a unique profile of terpenes that work in tandem with cannabinoids to produce specific effects we associate with cannabis.  A few are… Limonene – Citrus aroma, effects include anti-anxiety, immunosuppressant, antidepressant, antibacterial, gastroprotective, kills breast cancer cells and aids in absorption of other terpenes through skin and mucus membranes Pinene – Pine aroma, effects include anti-inflammatory, bronchodilation, anti-microbial, focus and memory enhancement  Humulene – Earthy, hoppy aroma, effects include anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, analgesic, anti-proliferative, anorectic (appetite suppressant) Linalool – Floral and sweet citrus aroma (often found in lavender), effects include anti-anxiety, sedative, local anesthetic, analgesic, anti-convulsive  Myrcene – Earthy, hoppy aroma with a side of tropical fruit, effects include sedative, analgesic, antibiotic, muscle relaxant  Caryophyllene – Pepper, clove, spicy aromas, effects include anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anti-anxiety, antidepressant, antioxidant, anti-microbial, gastroprotective  To put things simply, the entourage effect is the theory that the full spectrum of the cannabis plant works best together – the interaction between all the compounds from a cannabis plant, such as cannabinoids and terpenes, come together to enhance their effects. The key to mastering your own wellness journey with cannabis is understanding these compounds, their effects and knowing what you want or need from them. So next time you come visit Great Barrington you have a better idea of what questions to ask and what to look for when making your purchase.  Shop Cannabis Wellness Products Now #terpenes #cannabinoids #THC #entouragetheory #terps #cannabis #cbd

  • Terpenes 101: Pinene

Introduction to Terpenes: If you partake in the occasional joint there is a good chance terpenes are one of your favorite things that you’re totally unaware of. If you aren’t into cannabis, you’ve still probably experienced them day to day. Thinking of cannabis, the first thing to come to mind is the smell. Sour, pungent, and herbal aromas are all too common when you pop open a jar of your favorite strain. Terpenes are the aromatic compounds which create the scents of many plants in nature, specifically though they are responsible for the aromas in weed. If you love all of the different smells and tastes in all the amazing strains out there then you should be thanking terpenes. Similar to essential oils there are a huge list of them all with different scents and flavors, also with differing effects and feelings associated with them. Some with a more or less energetic high for example. Believe it or not the reason that your favorite strain is your favorite strain, may be due to its specific blend of terpenes. Most of the time strains have roughly 3 main terpenes which contribute to the aroma, flavor, and effects.  Pinene We love this terpene because it is so unique and complex in how it can make you feel and produces an alluring piney aroma. Something called the entourage effect, is how the combination of certain terpenes and cannabinoids can alter the effect as opposed to having these compounds affect you as a stand alone. Pinene is especially affected by the entourage effect, and it actually comes in two forms . Alpha and Beta Pinene are both different isomers of the terpene, however most strains with pinene in them have a balance of both and they have similar effects. Fun fact, pinene is the most common terpene in the natural world! The Feel: Distinctly focused and motivated feeling Often enhance mental clarity and productivity  Can shift effects of other terpenes or cannabinoids The Benefits Seen as an effective anti-inflammatory, many arthritis patients report looking to strains high in pinene for help with reducing inflammation Used by some as a bronchodilator, popular with asthmatics Very effective at providing mental clarity and cognitive improvement, even said to improve memory retention  The Palate Sharp and crisp scent sometimes even herbal  Very distinctive pine aroma, can actually be somewhat similar to cleaning products when very potent The Connections Very common in essentially all conifer trees worldwide Found in many herbs including sage, basil and rosemary Also present in orange peels, think of those tangy and slightly bitter notes The Strains  Big Smooth : This is actually one of the few pinene dominant strains out there, however does have a very relaxing and sometimes even sedating effect. However the presence of pinene also makes this a great solution for anxious thoughts as it will clear your mind and provide a strong body high as well. Blue Dream : This one you will be able to smell the pinene in, that blueberry aroma is almost always accompanied by a slightly sharp note of pine or fresh cut grass even. A wonderful strain for peaceful mindfulness.  Mac 1 : This is a wonderfully well balanced strain that will give you a great motivation and functional high with mental clarity. A perfect example of the terpenes prime effect.  Pineapple Strains : It’s in the name even! Pinene is often found in these sweet but sharp fruity strains and provides those sharper notes. Other cannabinoids in these strains often add that more relaxing layer to pinene.  Tips & Tricks Remember this terpene’s effects can be easily shifted by the entourage effect, so don’t be surprised to find some of the strains with this to be on the more relaxing and even sleepy side depending on other cannabinoids or terpenes present.  When looking at terpene testing, always look for both alpha and beta pinene to know how much is present.  Some of these high pinene strains are great for meditation, the mental clarity associated with this terpene makes a great pairing for mindfulness exercises.

  • CBN for Better Sleep: What You Need to Know⭐️🌙

If you’ve tried melatonin, sleepy teas, or CBD and still struggle to stay asleep, it might be time to meet CBN — short for cannabinol. CBN is one of the many cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. It forms naturally as THC ages, and unlike THC, it’s only mildly  psychoactive — meaning you won’t feel “high,” but you may feel relaxed . How CBN Works CBN interacts with your endocannabinoid system, the network that helps regulate mood, pain, and sleep. Early research suggests that CBN binds lightly to CB1 receptors in the brain — the same receptors affected by THC — which could help calm the nervous system and ease you into sleep. The Sleep Connection Studies are still limited, but findings so far are promising: CBN may help you stay asleep longer and wake up less during the night. It may encourage deeper, more restorative sleep phases. Users often describe the effect as a gentle relaxation rather than heavy sedation. Because it’s less intoxicating than THC, CBN can be a great option for people who want sleep support without feeling foggy or groggy the next day. Tips for Trying CBN If you’re curious to add CBN to your nighttime routine: Start low — around 10–20 mg — and adjust gradually. Take it 30–60 minutes before bed. Pair it with good sleep habits: a dark room, no screens, and a consistent bedtime. CBN won’t replace healthy routines or medical care, but it may help your body and mind wind down more naturally. Bottom line: CBN shows real promise as a sleep-supporting cannabinoid  — helping you fall into deeper rest without the next-day fog.

Atmosphere is everything to stoners, which is why we searched the area for the perfect sesh spots. This summer brings out cultural crowds and by late September, the  leaf-peepers will out in force. So stop by the shop, stock up, and pay a visit to these hidden gems among the Berkshires. HIGH ENERGY Cannabis enhances hues and sounds, fosters inspiration and can bring out your inner explorer, so maybe taking in some arts is a good way to find inspiration. Feel free to ponder ideas in a museum or buy a sketchbook at one of the local art supply shops and have a go on your own. Start at the The Clark with Claude & François-Xavier Lalanne exhibition, “Nature Transformed” (through Oct. 31). The expertly crafted sculpture and furniture morph natural objects into unexpected inventions and blur the boundaries between form and function. The artists transform nature through surreal combinations of flora and fauna, shifts of scale, and flights of fancy. Combining technical expertise with wild inventiveness, the Lalannes’ art celebrates the world in which we live…trippy.  Next, head to James Turrell’s largest free-standing circular Skyspace — titled C.A.V.U. — at MASS MoCA . Measuring 40 feet wide by 40 feet high, this repurposed concrete water tank transforms into one of Turrell’s immersive light installations, carving out a small piece of the sky and framing it as a canvas with infinite depth. It’s a gesture towards the heavens. Look up…and lift off. Don’t miss: The Rocks and Minerals Gallery at the Berkshire Museum . It’s a collection that includes polished stones, a real meteorite, and  fluorescent, glowing rocks. We’re hearing good things about the world premiere of the musical Row (music/lyrics by Dawn Landes and inspired by A Pearl in the Storm by Tori Murden McClure, the first women to row solo across the Atlantic). PS: Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow made her acting debut at the Williamstown Festival in 1981. LIT LITERARY For a different type of inspiration, the Berkshires were home to some of America’s literary giants of the 1900s. The biggest names are Henry Melville and Edith Wharton.  First, wander the Melville Trail, a partnership with the Berkshire County Historical Society at Arrowhead, where he wrote Moby Dick. This trail is a great way to deepen your understanding of the author’s connection to place. While his travels provided stories, Melville sought quiet solitude in which to write. The rustic serenity of the hilly region, geologically part of the Appalachians, obviously did the trick. The must-visit for any lover of American literature is The Mount , Edith Wharton’s home. The fully restored private residence includes Italian formal garden and ghost tours; outdoor yoga sessions (c/o Lenox Yoga every Tuesday until August 31); and live music. (Saxophonist George Brooks and pianist Utsav Lal are in residence and create music from the traditions of Indian classical music, American jazz, western classical and contemporary improvisation.) If you’re a fan, pick up a copy Wharton’s Ethan Frome at T he Bookstore in Lenox, get lit, and read her description of the Berkshire’s winter landscape in the page-turner about adultery set in a Lenox-inspired town. Or, The House of Mirth , which she wrote at the Mount . Books, often more mentally engaging than movies, can teleport you to a different world. A few hits on STRAIN should make the experience more vivid.  Stay in the 1900s and head over to dinner at The Old Inn on the Green. As the nights get chillier, there are cozy fires in every room and candlelight dominates. Cannabis can enhance the atmosphere and the flavors of almost any dish. The lamb is divine!  And if you’re just up for a gentle stroll or lazy day, take in the beach at Lake Mansfield in Great Barrington. WHEN THE MUNCHIES HIT…AND THEY WILL Our favorites include: Pizza: Build your own pie from fresh ingredients and the best dough (a blend of Italian flours and natural fermentation yields a light and crispy crust with soft flavor) at Crust . PS: Next door Ayelada yogurt uses dairy, flavors and toppings from local farms and artisans. Seasonal flavors, too, such as peach and apricot.  Another pizza option is The Prairie Whale , a pop up with a simple Margherita that is served in the restaurant’s stunning garden. And if you’re craving pasta, you’ll swear you are in Italy at Trattoria Rustica . The wood burning stove delivers exceptional fare. French Fries: We like ours lightly salted or with toasted garlic or parmesan and truffle oil from The Bistro Box . Salad: Alta’s signature dish includes grilled peaches in season. Cider donuts and biscuits: Whitney’s Farmstand .   Coffee: Charge up at Fuel with a latte. Or try a beet latte if the spirit moves you! Chocoholics: Chocolate Springs is a no brainer, but for the serious lover try the iced chocolate or mocha (not too sweet and comes optional homemade whipped cream on top). Ice cream: High Lawn farms is made from local cream from local cows and the slow-churned butter, made in small batches, is full of the golden goodness. King Cone in Pittsfield provides a generous portion at 1950s prices. Travel Trivia:  Every U.S. dollar is printed on cotton-based paper from Crane and Company , a Berkshires producer that’s been the sole supplier to the Treasury since 1879. North America’s earliest recorded reference to baseball appeared in a Pittsfield bylaw dated 1791. How to smoke weed in public. • Cannabis Health & You

Cannabis has a long history of being used for its health benefits. Whether you’re struggling physically or mentally, cannabis health benefits can help make life a little easier. In fact, cannabis has been connected to better health in a number of ways. The Substances Behind Cannabis Health Benefits The cannabis plant is complex, containing hundreds of compounds that can work separately or in concert. There are two main types of compounds that interest cannabis researchers: cannabinoids and terpenes. Both of these compound groups are being studied for their therapeutic properties. Cannabinoids are compounds first discovered in the cannabis plant. These include the famous c hemicals THC and CBD. However, other cannabino ids like CBN or CBC are also being studied for their benefits to human health. Cannabinoids are the most psychoactive compounds in cannabis, often affecting a person’s state of mind. THC in particular affects the brain’s endocannabinoid receptors, leading to the high most cannabis aficionados love. Terpenes are found in many more plants. A terpene is an aromatic compound that gives a plant its distinctive scent and flavor. Different strains of cannabis contain different combinations and concentrations of various terpenes, leading to a wide variety of flavors you can experience today. Common cannabis terpenes include linalool, limonene, and pinene, all of which have been connected to improved health. These compounds all have their own benefits when singled out. However, when combined, research suggests that they work together through the entourage effect. Essentially, different cannabinoids and terpenes reinforce each other, so the total health effect of cannabis is greater than the sum of its parts. Physical Health Benefits of Cannabis Cannabis and cannabis extracts have been connected to multiple health benefits. Loss of appetite and nausea have all been proven to improve through regular consumption of cannabis extracts or cannabis itself. These benefits are potentially connected to the way that cannabis reacts with the brain’s endocannabinoid receptors. The FDA has even approved several cannabis-based treatments for loss of appetite or nausea related to HIV/AIDS and cancer. Research is beginning to show t hat cannabis is also eff ective for chronic pain. Patients taking cannabis extracts often report better pain reduction than people taking placebos. There is also evidence that using cannabis can help reduce a person’s dependence on opioids for pain control. Mental Health Benefits of Cannabis Cannabis can help more than just physical symptoms. Early studies suggest that cannabis is useful for many people who live with PTSD. Specifically, people who use cannabis may have fewer PTSD-related nightmares than those who don’t. Cannabis can also help reduce anxiety, whether or not you have an anxiety disorder. The cannabinoid CBD has been shown to help people feel less anxious. Linalo ol, a terpene found in lavender an d cannabis, can also help relax people and reduce anxiety. Take Control of Your Health Cannabis is a great way to improve your health in many cases. Just like with any health concern, don’t hesitate to talk to your doctor if you have questions about using cannabis for health reasons. Just remember to ask questions, start slow, and remember that your health should al ways be your numb er one concern.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]
